Little Heroes Foundation

When Children are undergoing chemotherapy, their immune systems are so depleted that picking up a simple bug from another child can lead to life threatening complications. This means that kindergarten must be put on hold, play dates become a distant memory and even a visit to the playground becomes impossible. This donation will provide 5 children currently being treated for cancer with their own backyard playgrounds. This will give them back one of the simple childhood joys that cancer can take away, providing a safe outdoor environment protecting them from risk of infection and encouraging them to play when they are feeling well enough between treatments.

A special thank you from the Little Heroes Foundation:

Hi, we just wanted to send through some photos of some of the Little Heroes Foundation children who benefited from the incredible $5000 donation made by the CMV Staff Foundation toward backyard play equipment for children living with cancer. A few parents wanted to thank the Foundation too:

Thank you so very much for lighting up my little boys life, he goes through daily struggles and pain and this certainly goes a long way - Beau’s mum

I can't even put into words how grateful we are - Ashton’s mum
