The CMV Group 25 Year Service Dinner is one of the most special events on our calendar, a night dedicated to recognising the incredible contributions of employees who have reached 25 years, or more, of service.
This year’s celebration took place at the Adelaide Zoo, which provided a unique backdrop for the evening. We invite you to watch the below video which features just some of the highlights from the evening.
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed to the Zoo’s giraffe enclosure, where they enjoyed canapés and welcome drinks while watching the giraffes being fed and learning more about these amazing animals.
From there, guests then made their way into the Fig Tree Function Centre where they were greeted by the impressive Diamond T509 historical truck.
The annual CMV Group 25 Year Service Dinner first began 13 years ago and continues to grow, now with 54 members in total, including 12 new inductees this year. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to bring together our valued employees from across South Australia and Victoria to recognise such an special milestone.
Miles Crawford, CMV Group Joint Managing Director, began the evenings formalities by sharing that among those present in the room, there were 1,207 collective years of service, a testament to the loyalty and commitment that helps to shape the CMV Group into the business that it is today.
Miles also shared a relevant fact with guests regarding the animals in which they had just witnessed receiving their dinner, “interestingly, the average age of giraffes in the wild is 25 years, so what a fitting experience!”
As entrée was being served and enjoyed, Daniel Crawford, CMV Group Joint Managing Director, began the presentations for half of the 25 Year Service inductees.
Following Daniel and as main courses were delivered for guests to enjoy, Miles then presented the remainder of this year’s inductees.
To commemorate and recognise this special occasion, all of our new inductees received a custom engraved Parker Ballpoint Pen or a pair of CMV cufflinks, along with a bottle of Deviation Road Blanc de Blanc and a handwritten card from the Joint Managing Directors.
As they came to the front of the room to collect their special gift, each inductee’s story was shared, highlighting their unique career journeys, contributions to the business and personal milestones along the way.
From humble beginnings as apprentices and trainees, to leadership and management roles, each inductee has played an important role in shaping CMV Group’s success.

The evening concluded with dessert, tea and coffee, allowing guests to relax and share stories with each other from over the years.
