We are very pleased to announce that CMV Group and CMV Truck & Bus have entered into an agreement to acquire D&S Truck Repairs in Shepparton, Victoria. D&S Truck Repairs is a Customer Service Centre, and currently represents our CMV Truck & Bus and CMI Hino businesses in supplying parts for and servicing Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks and Hino Trucks and Buses in the Shepparton and surrounding regions.
Founded in 1996 by Don and Sharon Dimstas, it has remained a family-owned business to this day, upholding values similar to that of the CMV Group. The business has grown over time and today employs a staff of 13 people, all of whom will be offered employment with CMV Truck & Bus, and we very much look forward to welcoming them into the CMV Group family.
Reflecting on the acquisition, the CMV Group Chairman, David Simmons, said “The CMV Truck & Bus relationship with D&S Truck Repairs goes back to the 1990s. At this stage, we expect that the date of transfer will be the 12th April 2021 and we are pleased to advise that Don and Sharon have agreed to remain with the business for a few months to assist us and the D&S team with the transition.
