Recently, Mercedes-Benz Adelaide sales consultant Theo set out to raise money for the Childhood Cancer Association. This is a cause close to Theo's heart and he says,
even the thought of a young child fighting something so traumatic really makes me emotional. I want to do my bit to help fight this disease and keep kids in parks, playgrounds and schools, not in hospitals
Theo went on to smash his fundraising goal of $5,000, instead raising an incredible $7,300. Mercedes-Benz Adelaide hosted a Ladies' Night, with fundraising from the night going towards the cause. The CMV Group Staff Foundation was pleased to have contributed to the total also.
Childhood Cancer Association CEO, Cath O’Loughlin, says that every week in South Australia another child is diagnosed with cancer, which is devastating news for any family. She says,
The Childhood Cancer Association is based in Adelaide and currently supports more than 400 families, with all 30 services provided free of charge. You can read more about their work in the community here.
Well done Theo on your commitment to raising money for such an important cause.
