Following its successful launch in 2019, the CMV Group is proud to offer the Future Leaders Program (FLP) to further develop, motivate and retain high potential employees.
We have ambitious plans for the future and we believe that identifying leaders across our businesses is the one of the keys to our continued success.
The third round of the Program began in early 2023 and it was wonderful to see many employees who have been with the business for multiple years be elected to be a part of the Program, as well as those who have only been with the company a short time but have already demonstrated qualities we value in our leaders.
To welcome participants and their managers into the FLP, dinners were held before the Program commenced in both South Australia and Victoria. As well as giving everyone the opportunity to meet each other and the senior leaders within our businesses, participants were also asked to introduce themselves to those attending and discuss what they hoped to learn from the Program.
During the Program, participants were exposed to a range of different learning techniques from both internal and external facilitators, as well as engaging with role play actors. This enabled participants to actively use and practice the skills they were being taught by facilitators and receive timely feedback and pointers.
It was wonderful to see everyone actively engage in open group discussions, team workshops, presentations and questionnaires throughout the Program.
The topics covered were extremely diverse and were specifically selected for their relevance to the CMV Group and the skills required to lead in today’s business environments.
From learning how to respond to the important issues surrounding Mental Health and understanding Targeted Selection interviewing techniques to analysing financial data and the importance of WHS in our workplaces, the eight workshops provided valuable training for participants, as well as knowledge sharing.
The final topic, Effective Presentation Skills, was held over two day and focused on educating participants about presenting to groups of people. The session also provided valuable skills and framework for how to speak to smaller groups of people, which will prove to be particularly helpful with workshop or toolbox meetings.
It also provided participants the opportunity to obtain guidance on their graduation speech that was to be delivered in front of the CMV Group’s management team and Directors to mark the completion of the Program.
At the completion of the final session, participants attended either the South Australian Graduation dinner at the Lion Hotel in North Adelaide or the Victorian Graduation dinner at the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda.
Over the course of the evening, each participant delivered their two minute speech to all guests, highlighting their personal takeaways from the Program and the skills and knowledge FLP had provided them.
Following their inspiring speeches, each FLP participant was presented with a framed certificate which marked their successful completion of the Program.
Congratulations to all of the Future Leader Program Graduates. We look forward to seeing where your career with the CMV Group takes you.

- Finance for Non-Finance Managers
- Managing Everyday Performance
