Backpacks 4 SA Kids

Backpacks 4 SA Kids supports children and young people who are displaced from home due to foster care placements, family violence, homelessness or other crises. They provide Backpacks of essential items for kids who leave home with little notice and often without clothing, toys or other essentials helping to restore a sense of safety, dignity and belonging during difficult times.

The Village Co

The Village Co. is dedicated to supporting vulnerable new mothers across South Australia. For many of these mums, welcoming a baby can be overwhelming, especially when faced with challenges like homelessness, domestic violence or mental health issues. The Village Co. believes no mum should feel alone during this critical time, which is why they provide essential support through their Welcoming Babe Bags, Self-Love Bags and Mama Milk kits. Every packed bag, every delivery and every act of kindness brings hope and dignity to these new families.

Hutt St Centre supports South Australians at risk of, or experiencing homelessness, by providing meals, showers, laundry facilities, healthcare, counselling and personalised support services.

The lunch service provides  a nutritious meal in a safe, welcoming environment offering not only food but also an opportunity to connect with support services and a caring community.

Food on the Table

Food on the Table’s core vision is for their humble venue to be a place that in some way provides hope, support, love and inspiration to our community, and to help ensure that "No-one Goes Hungry". 

Through the preparation of meals in their kitchen at Hindmarsh, Food on the Table delivers meals directly to those in the community who are struggling for their next meal, and among others supplies these meals to several fabulous charitable organisations, including Hutt St Centre, Baptist Care, Puddle Jumpers, Vinnies and the Salvos just to name a few.

Treasure Boxes

When poverty, homelessness and domestic violence create an uncertain, sometimes dangerous home environment, many South Australian families struggle to provide their kids with the essentials of life; bedding, clothes, toys, even regular meals.

From this troubling reality, Treasure Boxes came to be – a team of caring, like-minded people, dedicated to preventing hardship and trauma by providing kids in need with critical items many of us take for granted. From their bustling warehouse headquarters, Treasure Boxes arranges the donation, collection and delivery of those childhood essentials, including cots, prams, highchairs and clothes. Driven by this profound purpose, our friendly, professional organisation seeks to empower others, creating positive change within the community – at the same time ensuring valuable, high quality resources don’t go to waste.

Baptist Care SA

Baptist Care SA’s Westcare Centre is a safe place where people from all walks of life are welcome. 

Each week, Baptist Care SA provide over 600 free meals,access to showers and laundry facilities, free and low cost groceries through their food hub along with many other wrap around services including health and financial counselling, residential advocacy, and disability support networks. At Westcare they provide hope for those doing it hard.

Each year Baptist Care SA runs a toy drive for Christmas, this provides a wonderful array of gifts for their clients to choose from and give to children who may otherwise miss out. Baptist Care require assistance with their Toy Appeal and then packing up the Christmas Cave.

Anglicare SA 

To ease the pressures of the festive season for thousands of South Australians experiencing hardship, AnglicareSA will spread joy this Christmas by delivering more than 1,000 hampers and 2,000 toys.

AnglicareSA hamper recipients are individuals and families supported by Anglicare's community services year-round. They not only provide food hampers and toys at Christmas; they also offer ongoing financial counselling and emotional support to help those experiencing hardship get the support they need to thrive.

 It might seem like just a small contribution in the form of a box of food or a toy, but for those on the receiving end, it can mean everything.

BioR

Bio·R‘s current major project is reconstructing woodland habitat on Frahns Farm, a 550-hectare property near Monarto. This project provides much needed habitat for declining woodland birds. 

This activity is being held in school holidays, children and family members are welcome to attend.
