Backpacks 4 VIC Kids

Backpacks 4 VIC Kids provides essential backpacks and support packs to vulnerable children and young people in out-of-home care, foster care placements, experiencing family violence, homelessness, and other crises. By restoring dignity, comfort and a sense of belonging during challenging times, Backpacks 4 VIC Kids helps thousands of children across Victoria each year.

Pinchapoo

Pinchapoo is tackling hygiene poverty by collecting and redistributing essential personal care items, including shampoo, toothbrushes, deodorant and sanitary products, to Australians experiencing hardship. Its name comes from 'pinch-a-shampoo', inspired by the idea of rescuing unused hotel toiletries and redirecting them to those in need. Pinchapoo helps restore dignity, confidence and wellbeing for Australians facing homelessness, family violence and financial hardship. 

Pinchapoo is leading the way in the fight against hygiene poverty in Australia.

Foodbank Victoria

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide.

The CMV Group Foundation has had a long standing association with Foodbank and we are excited to now offer the opportunity to volunteer with this fantastic organisation.

Volunteering assistance is required with the following tasks:

• Picking orders
• Stock replenishing
• Meal packs packing
• Fruit and veg packing
• Cleaning
• Food hub duties/ serving / filling stock / Check in
• Travelling on Foodbank's Mobile Supermarket Bus providing food directly to families in need in the community (see the impact in this video)

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, dedicated to stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to people who need it most. Their mission to “Nourish our Country” focuses on rescuing surplus food, reducing food waste, and supporting vulnerable communities through food relief and education programs.

Volunteering assistance in the OzHarvest van:

• Join food rescue runs by assisting drivers as they collect surplus food and deliver it to local charities. 
• Sort, pack and prepare food, including hampers and rescued produce for distribution to vulnerable community members.
