For more than 15 years, Foodbank SA have been supporting the Limestone Coast community and are currently supplying more than 130 local charities and schools in the region with food relief. In the last 12 months alone, the Foodbank Mount Gambier warehouse has distributed more than 380,000 meals to those in need. So when they were able to officially acquire their Mount Gambier location, and make cool room / freezer developments to the site, this was a significant step in ensuring their continued, long-term support of the area.

This was celebrated with an official opening on Friday 6th November, and it was with great pleasure that a number of CMV Group representatives were at Foodbank Mount Gambier to celebrate the very special occasion, including Michael Crawford, David and Nicole Crawford, Paul Crawford, and Jonathan Crawford. Also in attendance were Jim Cornolo, Barry Stafford, and David Millard of Barry Maney Group, who were thrilled to honour the legacy of the late Barry Maney OAM and his wife Shirley, who were passionate about the cause and were instrumental in the establishment of this Foodbank location.

The property acquisition was made possible through both government funding and community donations, including a donation by the CMV Group through the CMV Group Foundation, and we are proud to have contributed to the important work that Foodbank SA do in our community.
